These terms are a contract between you and us for the Tribe app and related services at opentribe.ai. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Tribe.

You must be 16 or older to use Tribe. If you live in India, you must be 18 or older. By creating an account you confirm that you meet the age that applies where you live.
You are responsible for keeping access to your email address secure, since sign-in uses a one-time code sent to it. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
One tribe belongs to one account email. If you want to lead a second tribe, register with a different email address.
A Lead may transfer leadership to another keeper, who must accept before the change takes effect.
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us only the permission needed to store, process, and display that content back to you and to the other members of your tribe — including running it through AI services for transcription, description, and search.
You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload, and that sharing it with your tribe does not infringe anyone else's rights.
Do not use Tribe to store or share content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes someone else's rights. Do not attempt to access tribes you have not been invited to, or to disrupt the service.
We may suspend or remove accounts that breach this section.
All purchases are made through Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never handle or see your payment details.
If the tribe subscription lapses, the tribe becomes read-only. Members can still view existing content, but cannot add or change anything and cannot use AI features. Restoring the subscription restores full access.
Refunds are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store under their published policies. If a purchase is refunded, we may reverse the entitlement it granted, including removing credits that were added by that purchase.
Before deleting your account you must transfer or delete any tribe you lead, so that a tribe is never left without a Lead keeper.
We aim to keep Tribe available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of significant changes.
Tribe is not a backup service. Keep your own copies of anything irreplaceable. You can export your archive at any time from Settings.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data where you have not kept your own copy. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including rights you have under the laws of the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia or India that cannot be waived.
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top when we do. Continued use after the date changes means you accept the updated terms.
Tribe is offered on Google Play in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia and India. These terms apply in each of those countries. How we handle personal information is in the Privacy Policy.
If you live in India, you must be 18 or older, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies as described in the Privacy Policy. For a privacy or content complaint, email admin@opentribe.ai. We will acknowledge the complaint and aim to resolve it within 15 days.
